Metreon is a four-story vertical shopping and entertainment located in the
heart of downtown San Francisco in the Yerba Buena Neighborhood. The
Metreon often hosted special events when new technology products were released.
In 2009, the Metreon building was redeveloped as a retail hub. Today, it has a Target
Store on the second level and a 16-screen Theater (largest IMAX in North America). RSMS
Scope was first to create an as-built model of architecture & structure based on the 1960’s &
1990’s drawings. This model was used to plan and organise the redevelopment project.
The proposed design was documented 100% at RSMS office using Autodesk Revit.
High standards of Revit based documentation (demolition & new plan included) was
achieved in this project. RSMS deployed a team of 8 over a 8 month period in 2 phases.
