Main Hospital at King Khalid Medical City (KKMC) is the largest healthcare project in
Saudi Arabia. Phase 1 of the project has 1500 bed hospital with 6 centers of excellence
(Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, Radiotherapy, Organ Transplant & other specialised
disciplines).The project massing can be described as 4 towers on a fat podium.RSMS
scope was to make the entire hospital construction documents in Revit along with
enabling quantification. Initially, RSMS deployed 2 independent teams (for exteriors
& interiors). Apart from the software & computational difficulties, the bigger challenge
was to track changes that happened over the 2 year period, since the principal architect
teams were ever changing and the number of consultants was large. The bigger challenge

In spite of the challenges, RSMS could complete the work in record time and client’s satisfaction.
