This 100-bed hospital has been designed within an existing structure. The existing
structure has a non-uniform grid which posed a major planning challenge.The horizontal
and Vertical expansion was used to achieve the required bed count while keeping the cost
of construction in mind. Low floor heights within the existing buildings also called for an
innovative design of services to achieve optimum ceiling heights while maintaining spatial
quality within the building. The structure of the earlier building was also upgraded and the
new facade was created to match the owner’s expectations.
