This 350-bed hospital has been designed on a 2.7-acre site, to replace an existing
70-bed facility. This Super Speciality Hospital was designed with a thrust on Oncology.
The challenge was to maximise efficiency while working the existing structural grid.
Essential day-light was provided in the patient areas through the creation of multiple
courtyards and terraces. The design worked towards curtailing visitor flow as much as
possible, into patient and staff intensive areas. On the Ground and First Floors, the
Outpatient Department was designed in a modular system. The essential services
were concentrated in a dedicated Energy Center to one corner of the site. Post-Tension
slabs were designed to deal with a low floor to floor height.
