The Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute is one of the leading Cancer Institute in the country.
With the increase in FAR as per Delhi Master Plan 2021 & increasing cases of cancer patients,
there was a need of expansion to the already existing facility of 225 beds & eventually take it
to 500 beds.There was an enormous challenge in terms of sequencing of construction without
disturbing the patient processes & obstructing operations.Demolishing under utilised blocks
and creating blocks which can be utilised to capitalise on increased FAR. All this was to be
done along with creating new building & multilevel car park. With changing time, the New
building was also to address the issue of building a brand image for the institute. Master planning
was done in order to integrate new design with old construction that was to be renovated.
